The value of broadening the reach and enhancing the understanding of scientific research is clear. But why have pharmaceutical companies been so slow in adopting PPLS? Could it be that there is a perceived risk, where the boundary between scientific exchange and promotional activities is unclear or misunderstood? This discussion will attempt to uncover the arguments on both sides.
DISCUSSION OBJECTIVES:- Form an opinion on whether PPLS are viable tools for scientific exchange
- Take actions back to their companies to provoke a clear position on PPLS that will enable processes to be developed, clarifying the scope of PPLS and where their sponsorship and development is appropriate and where it is inappropriate
